Simoncelli became my favourite as he rose through the ranks...
I liked his guts on the track, and his 'personality' off it - remember those
Quite a few 'droids' in the pits these days, as the game has become more and more serious..
I watched the funeral live on the interweb.
Bloody hell it was moving.
I do think we've been robbed of the next Rossi. I think he could have gone onto be a
multiple title winner. He did damn well on a satellite bike, and hadn't been in the series
all that long before he was worrying people. Definitely one of the aliens. Tragic indeed.

This was the track played at his funeral: And the funeral: It was very, very nicely done. I think he was cremated, and then interned at the local church in Corriano, if anyone wants to pay their respects if they're down that way. I hope to, one day.
