Re: led daylights
Touratech do a set as well, they come with a very nice relay unit. They're on full power by themselves and when you turn the headlight on (via a switch) they drop to half power.
As you'd expect though, they're a bit more than £20!
Here's the TT ones

Always take an opportunity to make yourself more visible.

Re: led daylights
Agree with that statement its just aftermarket cheap Light Emitting Diodes make a motor bike look somewhat bodged and completely naff IMHOJelly wrote:Always take an opportunity to make yourself more visible.

Re: led daylights
I am dubious about extra lights at the front. If people cannot see you with the headlights as it it is, how is a few LEDs going to make a difference?

You need to speak to AckAckFlak, he's an optometrist (?) and knows all about this kind of thing, mine are positioned on his advice.Throttled wrote:I am dubious about extra lights at the front. If people cannot see you with the headlights as it it is, how is a few LEDs going to make a difference?
Anyway, a head light isn't always enough, I'm after getting one of those fluorescent orange lids, by Christ do they stand out!

Re: led daylights
I am more concerned about being hit from behind or the side where I cannot see what is about to happen.
As for increased visibility, I have a Tin Wolf Vest to go over my black waterproofs

Moglo stickers on my helmets

and finally found a decent textile jacket that is not black or horrible design hi viz
its fabric has a shimmer in it that catches the light.

It's been said somewhere. Cannt remember where. But
If the lights and front of the bike make a face. The human brain detects it easier.
