Chain replacement help!

I use solid links on all new chains as they are far superior, the springs are to stop you squashing the rings and to correctly space the whole assembly, as for the lack of holes i would just rivet it as usual (have you ever tried to get an assembled one apart before riveting ?)and check the ends have spread before vanishing over the horizon
ps dont forget to remove the springs as i once did :S

I've done one of these type links. As long as your riveting tool has a point on it it will mushroom the end enough to hold it on. It doesn't look like it does but it works.

I use one of the DRC chain tools sold as a kit.
