Why do people ride around with full luggage on all the time?

Anything goes, and mine's a Guinness.

Why do people ride around with full luggage on all the time?

Post by Rhys »

Can someone explain to me the benefit of keeping hard luggage on all the time...?

Is there some sort of advantage that i haven't discovered

Is it not removable?..

Or is it just for the look factor

Surely a 1200GSA with full luggage on is no more effective at getting through rush hour traffic then a Volvo 200?

cheers B)

My husband and I both plan to ride aroung the world with hard luggage, secure, water tight, stops the bike from falling over to far

It's a no brainer for me. Replacing luggage that's damaged when a bike gets dropped (and it will happen) is far cheaper than replacing bits of bike!

Iv found just the pannier racks do the same job on my bike :) saved the plastics plenty of times.

PS the Touratech luggage i have would just collapse if the bike fell on it.
