Re: K75 GS Adventure Bike
Fitted with R100GS front forks and paralever rear end - seems quite a good way to go and it has a spoked back wheel. Not sure if there is a spoked hub available that'll fit a standard K75 bevel drive.
However, the K75 is quite popular as the basis for a GS type of bike

What a fantastic idea, such a great engine on those K75's, never considered that as the basis for an adventurer.. B)

Not sure if this will work with a disc brake. It appears to show a 4 bolt hubbeing modified to fit an old 3 bolt drive.flipflopdog wrote:Not sure if there is a spoked hub available that'll fit a standard K75 bevel drive.

You could be right there mr Beammeup, I’m no beamer geek myself just a litle handy on the spanners so doing the build isn’t a problem it’s gathering the correct info before the hacksaw comes out the toolbox..!!
They do make fantastic looking Adventure bikes though....!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

They do indeed, it's a great engine. A chap called Frank Warner (Aussie) knew all about them but seems to have evaporated from the internet.flipflopdog wrote: They do make fantastic looking Adventure bikes though....!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
Challenges are:
Does the frame need bracing.
Sorting out the back wheel (cast is OK for most things)
Tank has an integral pump and is aluminium (which is good).
Rear subframe for panniers and racks.
It would be good to see a bike build thread on here.
