Camping in Easternish Europe

Post by NKL990 »

Planning my trip to Romania and wondered if anyone has any experience of camping in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
Is there a campsite near Prague?
Thanks in advance.

Moved to travel section .

Sounds like fun camping in the east..

If you go to google maps , zoom in to prague general area . And search for *camping* this brings up plenty of campsites. Might help you on your way.

Been to Romainia several times beautiful country, like a hot scotland and great people really open take time to stop at a petrol station when a bus comes in for a comfort stop (Slatina Timis on the E70).Locals get out of the towns and into the hills at weekends for wild camping fishing a real family affair.Watch when driving, about 2 o'clock is the worst time lots of D&D.Do'nt worry if someone is coming towards you on your side of the road, its not personal they are just driving on the best bit of tar.If you have time and the inclination go and see Stevie he'll get you into the real Romainia Adventuromania.co.uk
