Whats the worst thing you've ever seen in your mirrors??

Such a lovely day for late February so we decided to get the bikes out and have a ride over to Abergavenny for a spot of.
I decided to lead and the missus (Neet555) followed. A nice ride to Aber, followed by a bacon/egg roll and coffee.

The return ride began well on the Skenfrith road, then at a X roads I turned right for Monmouth.
As I looked in my mirrors to make sure the missus had made the turn, I saw her turning a little too fast and a little too wide then mount the grass verge and both her and the bike went airborn :sick: :sick: :sick:

I jumped of mine and ran back to a prostrate wife, with her steed lying beside her.

I feared the worst, but she was just winded. After a few minutes she was up on her feet, bike back on its wheels.

I have to say I've seen somethings but your nearest parting company with her bike was high up there.

Anyways, her bike kit did its job, and the bike needs a new mirror mounting.

Then she says sorry to me for spoiling the day, :huh: and then rode the 40miles home. B)

Does she want to pack it in? Absobloodylutely not!!

In answer to your question.
An old friend of mine, (this is many years ago as are all my stories)
He had spent YEARS re-building a priceless Vintage Aston Martin, the very first one.
He was trailering it to (I think) Silverstone to an Aston Martin Owners Club meeting to introduce it to the club for the first time.
He was on a country road and he saw in his mirrors this very interesting looking old car catching him up so he pulled in to let it overtake for him to look at it.
His own car came sailing past, went off the road at the next corner and ended up in a field.
They recovered it, tied it PROPERLY onto the trailer and carried on. It did its lap of honour at Silverstone a bit scuffed but otherwise ok.

Worst thing was trailing my 200 to an event and over shot the junction. Saw a little turning with grass triangle and shot around. As I got around the apex I noticed trailer and bike upright-ing itself after tiping over round the sharp turn.
Just a scuff to the edge of the barkbusters but the look of the couple in the car behind was priceless :laugh:

The worst thing I've ever seen in my mirrors is : Blue flashing 'Ol Bill' lights, it always gives a squeaky bum moment :laugh:
