Yes it did rain on Saturday night but not much.

We tried to get the fire going but there was a serious lack of petrol around so the resident ABR pyro failed in his duty to keep us all warm.

I think most of us were in bed by 10pm..not together i must add!!!

The other lot that were there..strange bunch...were still up drinking at 6am. I'm still amused at why a member of a ike club needs a patch on his leatehr cut off saying "club official"...guess i'll never get this patch thing.

Hi Mike
Massive thank you for leading our ride and for organising. Its the first one of these things I've been on and was the first opportunity to try some deep water on the 990. I'll be back next time and stay for the whole thing. Cheers Nils ( 990 R ),
ps if you pm me I'll give you the contact details for the guy that made my fairing.

That's one hell of a ding Craig. Puts mine to shame. I do however have 3 or 4 of them.
What's the plan? Big hammer and a block of wood I've heard works but I've never had the balls to hit it that hard...
Yeah the short term plan is to give it a whack and hope for the best. But the real plan is to get a 1.85 excel rim and learn to lace wheels-true. (thumbs)

I was eyeing up your fairing at lunch as I love the modern looks the Rade fairing gives, but I was a little unsure about the quality. After seeing yours in the flesh its right back at the top of my must buy list!! B) B)

Hi.
The finish isn't fantastic but having said that it's survived a British winter and a lot of off-roading and a trip across the desert and the lights still work!. The only thing I have had to replace was the perspex light cover as it got cracked by a rock and to be honest I made the replacement in thicker perspex and it's been fine since. It is also way way quieter on the motorway than the standard one.

I'm blaming your dodgy meths.

Thanks again to Mike for organising everything, and Dave (spannerfingers) for leading another great ride.

I only got slightly wet on the way home, the weather was actually quite nice after Oxford.

Looking forward to next year.

Thanks to Mike for organising and to James for leading our group. (thumbs)

Was the first time I'd been out in mud and deep puddles and although I fell off a few (5!) times I really enjoyed the day.

Hoping to make it again next year - with less time spent lying on the ground!
