I was in beautiful Mid & North Wales doing the Welsh National Rally on Saturday.

Made good time and managed to divert briefly into Snowdonia National Park ( or Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri to the natives ;) )

Glentrool (Galloway) - fantastic roads leading to this stunning place. Gutted that we were so pushed for time having to get across to Cumbria (camping at Takoda - Paul & Maria's) that we didn't get to check out the Bruce stone or the stunning views which I saw on someone else's ABR folder

Oh well the upside of that is, i'll have to go back :P

Having landed at Takoda and pitched the tent at 9.30pm, hot footed it into Kikby Stephen for a top curry washed down with a couple of Kingfisher's a bit of sleep, then off to Hawes - what cool scenery out this way. Had lunch at a seriously great old skool Fish & Chip restaurant

Took particular care not to upset the Roma Gypsies, caravans and horses heading for the world famous Appleby Horse Fair..

Only regret from the trip was not bagging the Lake District on my way up to Morecambe where I was meeting Shepherd Boy on the Thursday night....oh well I could always try to negotiate getting to Piel Island next weekend and bagging it then :woohoo:
