First & foremost a huge thank you to Paul & Maria for making us all so welcome, for having worked so hard to get a splendid facility up & running in time and for ensuring that we all had a hot (very hot for some  ) meal ready and waiting for us when we arrived.
Stats for the weekend:
801 miles ridden
79lt fuel used
Number of new friends I met that I didn’t know I had – Loads
Smiles & giggles – fousands & fousands of ‘em
New sights seen – too many to be added up
Best saying heard – “Oh, shinny bike . . .beep beep . . . “ This from Mrs Toad referring to Mr Toad’s bike buying habit (Hope the thumb gets better soon Jane)
Second bestest saying – “They are not Macaws, they’re MacCraws”. Cheers Jim
All in all, to me, a wholly successful and enjoyable 1st ABR event.
My ride for the weekend, packed and ready to roll – note minimalist packing regime
The Highlanders gather – for food of course
Formation road blocking team in practice
Getting to know your host – Fionna, AfricaJim & the head belongs to Dave Copeland
Adventure styly breakfast
Who sleeps in a bag like this?:woohoo: Notice the sprinkling of anaesthetic containers spread around sleeping beauty
Misplaced castle in Cumbria – Pendragon Castle – shouldn’t that be further south, like Cornwall or somewhere
A long bridge or viaduct thingymajig
Somewhere!

Let every ride be an adventure and every rider be a friend[/center]
My take on the weekend . . .
Re: My take on the weekend . . .
Great pics Steve, the one of Fiona, Dave, the bear and myself's a cracker!
Agreed, big thank you to Paul and Marie, the campsite was a cracker. The curry was tasty, aimed at intermediate curry fans! (Steve found it hot so just perfect for non curry fanatics!)
A great weekend was had.
