I was born ready. No actually I will probably be ready 5 mins before I leave... if I am lucky. :)
I went to the Caribbean on holiday with my wife last year.

Jamaica?

No, she wanted to.

well, we've packed the boxes, Fiona took hers out for a run today loaded as she's never ridden with full luggage fitted to a bike. Regardless of me saying she'll not notice the difference, we went off for a run up Speyside and over the Davah Moor home.
A good day was had, yes, all packed and ready to go!

Haha Jim , you are well prepared ..

What to bring ??
I made the usual list , have not got round to looking for all the stuff , need to try to take less, but always seem to take more......

So today after family outing , tried out my new tarp (for cooking under etc) its 3mx3m , much better than my last smaller one.. Got some funny looks from the neighbours (again) .,.

Got my new sleeping bag , exellent .. a 3-4 season one , unlike my old one which was 1 season (in spain) .. Nothing worst than being cold at night..

So , this week will be finding all the rest of the gear and packing ..

Roll on Friday .. getting excited now . .

Daft question, are there any better directions than Kirkby Stephen? Has anyone got a map link to the exact location? Knowing me I will be rocking up late in the dark!

Kirkby Stephen is a "one road" town, the A685. This runs from the M6 to the A66.
Just North of the town on the A685 on the left next to the river. Big sign "Takoda Camping" simples!

We are almost ready for you all, got the water switched on yesterday, boiler commisioning man is coming Tuesday, laying carpet until 10pm Saturday but got out on the bike today, hope the weather stays like this.
