OK, I live on Bradeley Road.
Not stopping except for photo's and fuel sounds about right.
I'm not a speed merchant by a long shot but being an ex despatch rider i'll get a move on for a clear view of the road every now and then, plus I always ride with a pillion which means taking extra care.
Let me know then if you fancy a ride out, preferably weekends. (thumbs)

Yep. Jessop way. TBH. I don't do many ride outs with others. I tend not to stop (at all except for
Photos and fuel) and it pisses people off. Also got a neurological condition which affects my reactions so prefer to ride at my own pace. But. I wouldn't mind a bimble out sometime to see how we get on . You have been warned though.

Some proper castles there FJ, I love the Welsh Marches and the castles scattered up and down the Border, but Edward had the right idea in keeping "The Welsh" quiet in the 12C....

I was chatting with my son about the big Edwardian castles last week and how many of them were built with "supply by sea" logistical planning in mind.

Lovely class bike, one of the ones that hasn't been in my garage but I want one.

Yes - very pleased so far. The bike is lovely to ride. Its a bit dated and heavy but incredibly smooth and a fantastic mile muncher. More then enough performance for me and she will be 27 years old on the 1st of August. A bit frayed round the edges but I call that character and every blemish has its own story. The tail-piece has gouges eroded in the sides which where caused when the Krauser rack mounting broke while bimbling around Scotland about 12 years ago and the top box - unknown to me ended up bouncing up and down and graunching the sides away. I was bloody cross at the time, now I remember those events with affection.

Last night, for a change I thought I would have a bit of a ride out on the bike and knock off another castle in the ABR2016 Castle challenge. Stokesay castle near Ludlow was the main target - about 60 miles away so a nice little bimble over to Whitchurch then the A49 to Shrewsbury then Craven Arms etc. one of my old biking stomping grounds - I had forgotten how much I love that part of Shropshire. So. Stokesay castle bagged plus Acton Burnell and Morton Corbrett castles which don't count but make the castle log look more impressive. One bummer was that Acton Burnell was closed so all I could do was take a pic of the "To The Castle" sign.

All in 135 miles. Not bad for an evening ride out:

Good stuff.Better than my feeble effort on Sunday.Set out to bag Blair Castle in lovely sunshine wearing just a t-shirt under my jacket.By the time I got to the top of the Glenshee pass it was raining and cold so mission aborted and back to warmer climes over the Lecht.Still 180 miles of twisty roads so a good day out anyway.
