MOT pass this morning so celebrated by hitting the first of the castles. Not sure how many I will attempt, but it's a start

Nice bike, it's the only bike I've ever had my knee down on and I was the pillion LOL, nice pictures as well, my mate came up with the idea of doing a cake/biscuit type run, like going to Eccles or Bakewell and trying to find other towns with cake/bisuit names.

Thanks. I have had my FJ for over 16 years. No real desire for anything else but I think I would have a Tiger 800 if I could even dream of affording it. The FJ owes me nothing except a little TLC every now and again

As I am never going to do them all I've decided to add one or two extras as I am bimbling along. My extras so far are Peckforton, Beeston, Harlech and Whittington.

I also did 4 more of the proper castles yesterday. Powis Aberystwyth Caernarfon and Conwy. 345 miles, 10 hours and 50mpg
Still a wimp in the medieval hierarchy though.

Now that would be easy. Only 10 miles from me although technically it's a folly not a Castle. I think there is one at Hawkstone as well
