ABR Mildands Rally 2016 (July 22,23 and 24th) Plus New Venue.
Re: ABR Mildands Rally 2016 (July 22,23 and 24th) Plus New Venue.
Hi, I put a post on the facebook site to take a group around the local trails on the Saturday if of interest as I live locally. I was planning to take a small group of say x10 on big trail bikes with knobblies around the South Northants trails these vary from gravel to ruts with added slippery mud, hence the knobblies (not the stock AV tyres) and about 70 miles but it's a case of see how it goes with weather before hand, most riding will be on the pegs so not a 2-up ride.I will skip out any sections that could be a problem for heavy bikes, I ride the area with my XT660R & a friend has ridden it with his GS800.

That's a great offer Matador, appreciated. I'll pm you nearer the date so that we can have a chat. Looking forward to meeting you at the Rally.Matador wrote:Hi, I put a post on the facebook site to take a group around the local trails on the Saturday if of interest as I live locally.

Alun / Dave
I'm not having too much luck with dates this year - slots not much matching up with my time in the UK... including this one. So it seems I'm going to miss the Midlands, possibly for the first time.
Hope you all have a great bash, and I'll see you in a field sometime! B)

That's a shame Pat, keep the same weekend free for next year. And if you're ever passing the office...the kettle's on.Barcelona Pat wrote:Alun / Dave

That's unfortunate Gavinskii, this venue is better than anything in the Wye valley. Next year (thumbs)Gavinskii wrote:Same here, already committed to a 3 day event in Wye Valley .....

Its in my diary but thats no sure bet it seems at the present. I will probably just do the Saturday then shoot over to Cheltenham to visit the daughter. More than happy to pay for a nights stay. Is there no bog of despair that I can wade in and rescue Mike from at this venue?

Be good to see you Herman. There's a mini bog of doom but nothing to rival the Halford swamp. I reckon the hill climbs will supply the most amusing viewing spots.herman wrote:Its in my diary but thats no sure bet it seems at the present.
