I find it much better to use too.....just took a wee while to get used to it....I can't even remember what the old site was like now. New users will see it as it is.

Re: bring back the old ABR website
The new site is a vast improvement on uploading Photo's and Video's.
I do believe it takes a little getting used to, but now prefer the new site.
I think the lack of posts are possibly due to people having to re-create their account with a new password etc.
I know of a few folk that seemed to have problems then gave up!!
Be interesting to know how many are on the new site compared to the old.

Got to agree with others that once you get the hang of it there's no real problem

Re: bring back the old ABR website
Speaking as a forum user, I agree, it’s taken me time to get used to the look, layout and extra features. Now that I have I also find it far easier to use and the experience on mobile devices is light years ahead of what we had.
Speaking as the forum owner…it just had to be changed. We had to move out of Joomla and keep the forum software separate from the main website CMS for longevity, flexibility and ease of upgrade in the future. The old forum software was over ten year old, creaking at the seams and very vulnerable to virus and malware. It was also holding back our website development.
We are making small, incremental changes to this forum as we move on based on member suggestions (no more big changes for a while) and what we can do as opposed to wished we could do.
Right now the big job going on in the background is trying to merge all the images from the old forum database with this new one whilst keeping disruption to a minimum.

If you happen to speak to them again about it, just let them know that they can send me and email at [email protected] and I'll sort them out with a new password so they can login with their old account againWillS wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2017 8:44 am The new site is a vast improvement on uploading Photo's and Video's.

I think it's an improvement, photo upload far easier, we now have a thankyou/like option back which is good, my post can be previewed before submit and as Alun said far better on a phone.
Once everyone has become familiar with it I am sure posts will increase and lets not forget it`s FREE
