Afraid the new version forum has killed the party

Would it be possible if someone from ABR could update us on this issue?

Annoying to think that 1000's of inputted pictures by members have just been deleted at the click of a button.

It's annoying alright, more than annoying and let me assure you it was the last thing I wanted to happen. We are working on it but it is not an easy problem to fix.

A quick update to a lengthy problem....

We are still working on this but it is a complicated and complex problem. No images have been lost, they are still in the old database but the links to the new database have been corrupted. We'll get there.

Thanks for the update.......now, as you know, we can see Photo Bucket images via extensions in browsers, so all those ride reports .....hopefully the links will return.

I find the site better than the old format, especially with the facility to post pictures direct from ones desk top. The youtube links going directly onto the page is great now too.



Keep up the good work.......my 'Old Time Flying Machine' threads need updating.

Good luck. I have said before I used to do this sort of thing and when something goes wrong it is an absolute b0ll0x.

It will sort itself but will take time and work so thanks.

Personally I think this software is a great improvement over the old one too.

Quick update...

We are very close to solving the missing picture problem. Right now we have a database expert running a script in the background which appears to be working and is building a new forum merging this live board with the old Joomla board. You might find that the forum runs a little slower as a result.

The plan is to switch to the new merged board one day next week at which point we should have all the old images back live.
