see this is whats wrong these days, roasts, bitchin and full on barnies just dont go the distance any more
im a believer in a good spat being good for you occasionally. we had a go at work the other day on what was left and what was right, and a couple of days ago about whether it was a "2 pound coin" or "2 poundS coin". we should have our own TV show.

Mate - I hope you settled on a 2 pound coin? The noun is coin, in this instance 2 pound being the adjective (which modifies the noun) and (in English) adjectives are never plural. You could, of course, have 2 pound coins (meaning two coins) - or 2 pound coin (meaning a coin weighing 2 lbs - but that would be a bit silly :laugh: ).

But what do I know. I was taught that verbs of emotion should never be used in the gerund - but thanks to Ronald McD everyone is loving things these days!
