I haven't found the Montana lacking thus far

But I will wait for the 47th release of software for the Monterra before I have a decent look

Mind you going by Garmins recent history 47 releases will only be a month or two

Some nice features on the Monterra for sure, but at £600 V £300 for the Montana, I won't be upgrading in a hurry ;)

Even 300 quid for the Montana is a lot of money so doubling that for a few extra things seems crazy!
Bring back the paper map and hours of route planning!

I'd love one, I really would but can't really justify spending that much money on something I wouldn't use everyday. So for now I've got maps, route cards, my Garmin Forretrex and of course my trusty iPhone with some free GPS/satnav app attached to my screen frame!

I must start doing the Lotto again.....

Why would anyone pay that sort of money for a GPS ? i and quite a few others have done long trips using the Peaklife GPS which can be bought for under £100 and is made for motorcycles.
People moan about Touratech and other companies that seem to try and rip people off and then people go out and spend stupid amounts of money for a GPS device.
Thought it was just the GS owners and power rangers that just liked to show off their bling shite, seems it's crossing over to the adventure bikes aswell.
