Computer software for logging coordinates

Post by MHsnowy »

Can anyone recommend a computer program that allows you to enter coordinates for waypoints.

A mate has a road book and I want to plot the route particularly the off road sections on the PC then save them as a GPX file to upload to the satnav.

Cheers

http://bikehike.co.uk/index.php http://www.tyretotravel.com/ http://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm I use these but there are others, some have limited use of o.s. mapping so you need a few options to play with. Basecamp is ok but I find the overlay does not match the terrain. :)

Have a search for OMN from Anquet. It is not free but will work on phone as well. I bought whole of UK 1:50000 scale for £85 but I believe they have an offeron now and it is cheaper.

Perhaps I should have said that the road book is for the Pyrenees.

Tried all the above and can't seem to get any of them to accept the coordinates in the format they are written in.
This is an example.
42deg 52,006' N
0deg 44,890' E

Any ideas?
