I bet magazine circulations are dropping, sadly
I like mags, but now read the TRF Trail pdf online and it is very good and can see more of it going that way
Kids don't 'read' anything on paper nowadays

Even the publishers are thinking that way now.johnnyboxer wrote:Paper Mags are old hat in 2014, look at TBM
Printed mags are on the way out, I reckon
I never buy newspapers now, easier to read online.
But making a cuppa and sitting down with a favourite mag I find relaxing.
Plus you can put it down then pick it up later without having to log in and find the website then find where you left off.

Infact, Id go as far as saying that if printed mags are ditched I wouldn't bother reading again online.johnnyboxer wrote:Paper Mags are old hat in 2014, look at TBM

Magazine subscriptions are on the decline- agreed
I really enjoy receiving an alternative form of information to what I am used to.(work in e-media)
Its like receiving a present or parcel in the post...something tactile- that you can hold...
..not everything digital is great.

Re: subscriptions
In reply to the original post, unfortunately (for existing users) this is prevalent in lots of situations, from Sky TV to insurance. It's all about getting extra subscribers/customers.
Why make a special offer to someone who's already using you product!

With respect, not a fair comparison, with insurance, energy etc. you can do something about it and vote with your feet and move company's,vRSG60 wrote:In reply to the original post, unfortunately (for existing users) this is prevalent in lots of situations, from Sky TV to insurance. In this case you can't go and get another adventure bike mag, you just have see new subscribers getting a better deal than existing (loyal) subscribers.
ABR is the only mag I subscribe to, the rest I choose after looking at the newsagents if there is something I fancy reading.
