Greetings,
Johnny is spot on with his comment and I have actually overheard Councillors making that exact point, take away the natural flow of a route and the recreational motorists will simply no longer bother to go there
Simple, no confrontation, no costly TRO process, if they can't afford to repair them - then they can be closed anyway
Many footpath routes have been so sanitised that the self fulfilment of completion is removed and that is why I do n't ramble as much these days. Town centre pavements offer more of a challenge these days.
Must confess that with dodgy knees, etc, I may soon need to use those routes though

High Cam Road - TRF and GLASS members part fund repairs
Re: High Cam Road - TRF and GLASS members part fund repairs
Johnny is spot on with his comment and it's been pointed out before for lots of routes, but they are still worth riding. Yes they are an easy ride but they are still through some good scenery and still away from the constant lookout for cars trying to maim/kill you. Then after a couple of years they have washed out a little and start to become more challenging again.

I was beginning to suspect the council trick of `death by improvement` …. and now it is confirmed on here
