Dave Rowland Trial 1st July 2018.

Post by Hugh »

Greetings folks,

A quick invite to those of you interested in the 'feet up' sport of competitive trials riding. This coming Sunday Manchester 17 MCC will be hosting the current Dave Rowland Trial, held in memory of our local lad and friend who became a works rider, when all one wore for safety protection was a beret or peaked hat turned back to front

Anyway, you are most welcome to come and spectate, free of charge, and most sections are fairly close to public parking areas plus a couple of green lanes such as Cumberland Clough and the iconic Three Shires Head. If riding please stay on the public right of way as only the competitors are allowed to deviate onto the closed private land.

Please remember to take plenty of drinking water with you although there will be a butty van at the start location. We respectfully remind folks of the potential fire risks under the current weather conditions, the under side of car exhausts can potentially start fires on dry grassy kerbsides.

TTFN

Hugh.
