TET expected time
being new to the adventure scene and only finding out about TET this week.
what are people experience with the estimated time to complete the routes? particularity the Lithuania route, it says 3 days? around 300 a mile route. i would expect to do that in a day? or are my expectations way out?

Re: TET expected time
I don't know the answer .. but if I were doing it I would allow a lot more, for weather, obstacles, unforeseen, tiredness, accidents, punctures, .. perhaps 50 miles (or a lot less) in a day is difficult to achieve in some circumstances ?

Re: TET expected time
Not sure what the terrain is like but if it's mainly off road unless you are a Dakar God 300 miles in a day don't think so
Re: TET expected time
The most I have done at trail speed is 185 miles on an exc and even at rally speed usually around the 150 mark. You won't be stopping and smelling the roses at 300

Re: TET expected time
Which is a shame really Herman. I usually like to get 150kms under my belt before a brief embroidery stop. Then another break at 250kms for a spot of poetry and flower arranging. And at 300kms we all call a halt for some oil painting and exfoliation. A bit of tantric massage, pronoucing Om, and you're all ready to go again the next day...

Re: TET expected time
last summer I did a few rides, mostly A roads (at 50-60mph on a 250, no stops except petrol),
of about 175 miles (for one day) .. of which only say 20 miles was (mostly one/two) trail.
It took me all day and I was knackered at the end.
(and did not have to pitch camp, as home)

Re: TET expected time
120 miles a day offroad is more than enough if you want to see anything other than your front wheel, it's not a race.
Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.
