Hi all,
Does a bagster tank cover make sense as protection for a GS tank when riding gravel routes, sandy and rocky trails etc. Please keep in mind that I am in Malta, which is in the mediterranean - (think sicily, morocco etc).
I am concerned that the bagster cover would do more harm than good because of the grit and dust which could enter between the foam and the tank.
Any experiences??

Re: bagster tank cover for rocky trails
I have one on my 1150.
I've not had it for long, but before I purchased I did a bit of research, mainly on the UKGSer forum.
Quite a few people said that they keep them on the bikes all the time and have never had any issues with scratching or stuff getting underneath.
May be worth searching a few different forums, however, I was convinced.

You don't say which model of GS you're riding or wanting to protect, but I used a 3M kit on my bike from new, it's quite easy to apply, comes in ready cut shapes and you can't tell it's there.
I got mine from the 2013 bike show at a discounted show price, but I'm pretty sure they'll deliver overseas..
