Salisbury route

Post by jasperthedog »

Hi All,

Have found my self volunteered at the end of the month for 4 days baby sitting for friends down at RAF odiham. Thought I would take the
Opportunity to ride the plain.
Just seeing if anybody has a route to share or a good place to start, will be alone on 950 adv so easy to intermediate would be ideal.

Cheers,
Rich.

If it is maps you need get OS landranger 184. If you bring it to me in Eastleigh I can mark it up for you. I do have a basic loop on gpx somewhere too if I can find it.
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

Greetings,

It might be worth your contacting the Wiltshire TRF for information or to join a possible ride out with them ;http://www.wiltshiretrf.co.uk

I found this link to a route on ViewRanger; http://my.viewranger.com/route/details/NDg2NjQ=

Thanks chaps,

I now have a bit of a plan, towing the bike down on Wednesday play with the kids Thursday sneak off for some my time on Friday.
Going to try to follow the viewranger route best as I can but will be taking os maps along for when it all goes pear shaped.

Worse comes to worse my mate will be hovering round in a Chinook he can come pick me up.

Thanks again I,'ll let you know how it goes.

Greetings Smudger,

No, sorry I do not have the route but if you follow the link to ViewRanger then you should be able to download it direct to your phone or computer. The route is marked as being free to download but I do not know how accurate or interesting it is as I do not ride in that part of the country.

TTFN

Hugh.
