Pikes Peak Navigation Rally 2015 – 8th March 2015

Opening round of the newly formed RallyMoto Cup.

This event is suitable for Rally Bikes, Enduro bikes and Adventure Bikes. Competitors will need their own navigation equipment.

The Pikes Peak Rally is a full roadbook navigation rally. There is a Rally bike route and an Adventure Raid and Beginners route. The course is approximately 140km long and is navigated entirely by roadbook. The course consists of public highway, fireroads and single track with some technical sections, all of which are clearly marked on the roadbook.

The Adventure route is almost 100% highway and fireroads and has been test ridden on a BMW 1200 GS with Tourance tyres.

The start for the event is at the Hafod Hotel, Devils bridge. The organisers will carry out signing on and roadbook briefings for the Rally and Adventure course on the Saturday evening and on the Sunday morning.

There will be check points on route and most of these will be very relaxed in terms of time.

Entry fee is £115.00 and includes all briefings and the roadbook (This must be handed in at end of the event to the organisers)

Looking forward to this just one question is the beginner route mostly road aswell as i think id rather just do a harder route slower than just following a roadbook on the road

God I hope to have my forks sorted by then...

Roadbook will be a good mix if it's like others, believe there is an easy route roadbook. Check out rallymoto forum for info.

jaz, i think you can do the Raid which is the easy road/gravel route (more for bikes on road tyres)

or the Rally which is the full technical route

so enter the Rally class suitable for your bike (450/lite) then put your ability down as 8-10.
1/2 = experts
3-5 clubman
6-8 sportsmen
9/10 novice/beginner

youre best off joining ATRC forum, then qus you ask will be answered by the organisers Burt/Moly, or ring the number on the regs and speak to Burt. they'll be pleased to advise

Its going to be a really great day! Something for everyone by the looks with pure on-road navigation event to a bit more interesting navigation event. Done 2 of these and they are a total blast, I'm a terrible rider but can keep up with quicker riders as ok at navigation. Just Do it B)

Nice!

Bike cleaned ( doesn't look as clean as yours...) lubed, oilchange, brakes bled, forks stripped waiting new bushes and seals, air filter cleaned and drying waiting for oiling, wiring checked and working... No where near ready but this is going to be great!
