Couldn't have happened to a nicer man

Mr Benyon was an architect of the NERC Act, which stole so many green lanes from us.

To put some context into the size of his Estate...12,000 acres is pretty much 19 square miles...

Perhaps the commoner Great British cash cow is beginning to realise that its our land and we have the right to roam further afield than our landlords deign.

NERC effectively turned all the old RUPPS into private drives for landowners maintained at public expense.

BTW.. sunak actually stated that higher interest rates and prices will curb inflation as it affects working class more, as it is a higher proportion of their income , being almost in fuel and food poverty..... so he planned to curb the economy by subduing working class spending .. not affecting the rich at all of course. UK needs a serious sorting!

Yes, that was a bit of a giveaway...he'll be complaining about how many £1000s it costs to heat his swimming pool next winter.

I predict a similar grass roots revolt to the poll tax come winter.

And the energy companies are behaving disgracefully...standing charges are going up faster than the energy prices.

I'm not a socialist, far from it, but the gouging bastards should be nationalised.

Very true. And I'm no socialist also but...

There are approximately 29 million households in the UK.
45% of those households have an annual income income below £31,200 (before tax) and for everyone who lives in the house, that's 13 million households.
30% of those households have an annual income of £52,000 or more, that's 8.5 million households.
7% of those households have an annual income of £104,000 or more, that's 2 million households.

You can see who is going to suffer...
