Recently I read a topic that had a quite detailed explanation of how to copy maps on to garmin devices from anywhere in the world just by highlighting areas, saving to email etc than copying to your garmin device....

Does anyone recall this topic or have a link to it, or even a link to the detailed explanation as I can't find it anywhere...

I got my Bmw Navigator IV yesterday...

I plotted a few routes on www.mymotoloco.com (brilliant site!!) and then instantly shared it to mates & clicked export - chose GPX, Garmin, and plugged the nav into the computer & it whizzed it straight to the Nav

Thanks but that wasn't it. It was a topic, it may well have been on the UKGSer but someone posted a link to a simple way via a link of how it's done, the link gave excellent instructions, but it seemed it was that particular individuals instructions of a website rather than an actual site itself.....jeez, am I making any sense here at all :dry: however, it is using that openstreet map site, but was a detailed explanation

have you looked in the gps section....its getting rather long but probably in there...........
