After buying a set of boxes for my tenere i decided it would be handy if i could use them on my DR800 ,as i had no rack i thought i"d have a go at making them ,just to be welded up and powder coated ,one side is wider to stop the can from burning the pannier

Excellent racks, although why four hoops, and why quite so far away from the exhaust? How are you mounting it to the bike it looks like very long bolts running down the tubes, is it that simple?

4 hoops so I can fuck 2 of them up and still have spares.yes long bolts into to original rear rack

Nice bit of work. Those along with some Peli boxes sourced on the cheap would make some damn nice Pooratech luggage IMO!
Currently an F650GS, DR350 and RV125 in the family stable.

Dont worry Spen, not after a set as i sold my panniers recently so not really after any. Might be worth you making another set though as you could prob sell em on our forum easy enough.
