Good Luck

I'd love to try it as I have done a few Mountain Bike events round Keilder, including an MTB Enduro and a two day MTB Orienteering event, so I know what to expect.

However given that I dropped the CCM on my foot less than a fortnight ago, I think It needs a bit more healing before I have a go.

Not sure the Dawn to Dusk would be a good first event (with a 45w Acerbis headlight :S , I think not) so I'm gonna aim for the Hafren.

Well since my last post I have:

1. Got a set of proper Enduro Tyres (Maxxis Cross... excellent)!

2. Been out "training" with a mate in Wales who has a) done lots of rallies and b) has access to a big chunk of private land.

3. Signed up for a weekend of big bike rally training with Craig Bounds (Dakar competitor and currently leading the BBRC)

4. Entered the Hafren Rally

I'm currently trying to get fitter and fettling the bike to ensure it survives!

Wish me luck :woohoo:

£95 for a single day or £180 for the two days. It's the weekend after next. Details here:

No idea if there's still places.

I think this is a one off organised by Robert("Burt" on the BBRC Forum) but Craig runs "Black Desert Training" with fellow Dakar refugee Tamsin Jones check it out here:
