Somewhere in Tanzania in 1997.

My mate and I had stopped to lube the chains when I noticed all these kids watching on.

Seeing an opportunity for a photo, I jumped across a small drainage ditch towards them and they all ran away shouting ‘Mzungu Mzungu’ and hid behind their huts.

After shouting ‘Photo Photo’ they slowly came back one by one and sat with me by this tree.

I was 28 years old and having the time of my life (Despite a good dose of Giardia!)
