Now smart phone technology has advanced so much, it’s great to see more and more people taking advantage of the superb ‘in built’ phone cameras and posting their results on this forum.
A ride report with decent photos really enriches the experience for the intended audience.
For anyone not aware of Snapseed, it’s a free photo editing app by Google which allows quick access and editing of the photos on your phone.
The more serious photographers out there will no doubt prefer to use the likes of Adobe Lightroom etc on a Laptop/PC but I think Snapseed is great for ‘on the hoof’ editing of phone camera photos.
Once you get your head around the various tools, you can quickly transform a poorly composed, lacklustre photo into something more appealing.
It’s free so why not download it and give it go!
I just wish it was easier to upload photos onto this forum without them rotating the wrong way round!!!!
Here are a couple of old ‘before and after’ post ride photos that literally took about 10-20 seconds to edit with the phone in one hand and a pint in the other....

Re: Snapseed
Ha ha. He was a young lad I met whilst out on a local trail. He said it was the first time he’d been out trail riding so I guess he was being extra cautious with the body armour!
Re: Snapseed
Yes it’s personal preference but I appreciate the feedback.
One downside of editing on phone screens is what might look better on one device (my old phone in this case) can look over processed on another device
