Thanks Steve , it goes very well , it's 650 twin , balanced engine , high compression Pistons , race cam , big valve head , I bought it part restored and finished it off , I waited a long time for that bike and it will stay with me , :D :D

The Arrow/Leader was used by the Police for sure , but was never the Police Noddy bike. The Noddy bike was the 200cc Velocette LE a bike with about as much go as a geriatic eunoch, like 6bhp! The bike in the picture is , I'm pretty sure, an Ariel Arrow , the leader if I remember correctly had a big fairing. By about 1965 it was pretty obvious to all concerned that the wheels were starting to come off the British bike industry. With the pressed steel frame and Forks , these were the dying industries attempt at competing with the Japs to create something a bit more 'modern' looking.
The picture of the single with the rider in the red jumper (pic6) is a DOT demon 250 scrambler, with it's red frame and leading link forks a very distinctive bike ( I had something similar, once ). With a Villiers 250 engine avery competitive bike in its day .Happy days
