After asking for some advice on cargo trailers on here and receiving a few positive replies I decided to bite the bullet and go for it.The only stumbling block was the lack of suppliers and the price in the UK.Watsonian Squire say very little about it on their website and Mono-Trail don't seem to be trading an more.I had resigned myself to having to save up for another year before I could make a 1000 mile ride down to Freewheel in Norfolk to buy a new trailer for £1300 and get a towbar made for an extra £300.
Trawling Gumtree a few weeks ago and a Freewheel trailer popped up only 120 miles away ( that's practically local when you live in the north of Scotland! ) I'd already viewed it when I was passing on my bike the other week and agreed to buy it so I went back up to collect it today.£520.I'll spend another £65 replacing the 9 year old tyres and I've got a friend who's a retired steel fabricator who's willing to make a towbar for the cost of the steel.
I was going to post photos on my own thread tomorrow in the daylight.I'll keep you all updated on progress.....New adventures await! :D
