Great topic idea and lots of food for thought for the coming summer ...

Meanwhile:

No before pics could be found......one of the chapels in Belchite, Spain that was razed.

Nice one WIBO, its strange how fife old photographs of churches exits in Spain, part form postcards of the famous cathedrals - IMHO this gives the lie to the so-called 'strength' of religious feelings in the country going back centuries ...

But my bit - not quite the same shots but good enough:

PS for folks who don't know yet, you can only get into the old town with a guided tour these days - looking back though the archives it's amazing how much then place has deteriorated since the actual destruction of the war ...

People keep killing each other through the ages but does it really change anything???

I'm off across the channel within the next few weeks. I've researched the locations of about 20 photos from WW2 that I'm going to try and recreate, if I get chance.
