Tell us more about the bikes. You say they didn't miss a beat. Have you owned them long before the trip or did you buy them especially for it? What mileage did the bikes have on them before the trip? What sort of fuel economy were you getting?

Awsome trip and pictures. B)
hi loggy,
i bought my twin about 6months before the trip, it is a 2003 and had 11000 miles on it before we set off.
as for economy think we were getting 250miles to a tank of petrol.
the bikes ran like clockwork. not a single issue. (apart from a couple of punctures)
they handled everything with aplomb. infact i was the weakest link.

Cool. I'm after a late Africa Twin and you have the fastest colour too!!! Good fuel economy and glad to hear they ran like a Swiss Watch. I look forward to the ride report Paul.

Cheers

Who did you use to ship the bikes and what was the cost, if you dont mind telling.
we used a german company, www.pan-europa.de andreas koeneg is the man.
oasis guest house in UB built the crates.
700 euro for shipping, 200euro for the crates.
