2 weeks in Norway

Post by stormfield »

Just got back from a couple of weeks in Norway :) Uploaded some photos here

Image

Norway... incredibly beautiful place. Rolling along a mountain road, snow on either side, and off in the distance a huge wall of deep blue which turns out to be a glacier. Fjords everywhere, the sea reaches so far inland its like having the ocean in your garden.

Cost, super expensive, £14 for breakfast of coffee, bread, cheese and an egg...
Even more expensive if it rains because you end up opting for huts (Hytte) because of the central heating / drying gear, instead of wild camping. It's much easier to wild camp inland, away from the coastal towns.

Really glad to have done the trip. Next ride will be either to the balkans or to spain.. somewhere cheaper hehe.

The ABR sticker I left there last month is still there then! (Picture 28)

Very jealous, saving the pennies to go back again.

Absolutely stunning set of pics mate. You have a very good eye on you.

Really make me want to go there.

PS. I know it's the photographer not the camera, but curious anyway....?

cheers mate :)

The camera used was an old Canon Ixus at 8 megapixels. You could probably get a much better one these days:

The images were cropped and adjusted a little in Adobe Lightroom, which is a quick'n'easy version of photoshop.

*edit - I find it's easier just to carry a small camera around, doesn't interrupt the ride too much, and more chance of catching a moment when it appears.

Definitely the photographer not the Camera then!

Good stuff :)

EDIT: you can see that. Touch of the Henri Cartier Bresson!
