Few pics Yorkshire dales
You need to ride with me I am a wizz with a GPS but ain't ridden the dales for years and that was on an enduro bike so I can't remember what all the lanes are like or if they are rideable on a bigger bike.
If you show me the lanes we can tracklog them and I will teach you how to use a gps.

Is it Langthwaite Lane near the caravan park ? If so it was closed to Vehicle use a few years ago. The lanes at ether end are still open to us though (thumbs) .Mike54 wrote:Where's this cocker?

Thought I recognised it, being the latter end of Carlton Moor trailDazzer wrote:Is it Langthwaite Lane near the caravan park ? If so it was closed to Vehicle use a few years ago. The lanes at ether end are still open to us though (thumbs) .Mike54 wrote:Where's this cocker?
Now sadly - Verboten, due to the NERC act in 2006 and reclassified as a Restricted Byway
Not ridden it for 10 years, used to be a cracking lane, joining Wensleydale & Coverdale
The Dales are becoming less and less viable, without a lot of roadwork
I think this is YDNPA's aim and Deadman's is another example of another vital crossdale link, being severed

if this helps. it may be best to check this site for whats open and whats not. The police do do check on the lanes and the also give the bikes a good check . Last year they gave a friend a warning for not having a reflector on the rear of his bike .

I'm taking some guys round the Dales on Sunday, start 0900 from Hawes. Have space for one more - small bikes really, no big ones and must be on knobblies and be ok offroad. One of the guys is getting better from injury and it's only his second time back on a bike so the pace won't be frenetic (btw, all routes we use will be legal)
