Not being of the green fingered variety, I have yet to cultivate such a stunning example after many efforts.
Can you tell me what seeds you used?
Have I been using the wrong type for this part of the country?
That looks like a stunning example of the German Metzler variant you've grown there. I've tried growing the French Michelin variety as well as the Italian Pirelli version, all without success! Some have suggested the newly emerging Korean Maxxis variety might prove a good grower!
Should I maybe try a British variety, such as Avon, as I've heard they are quite hardy and should be able to survive the weather this far north?
Your thoughts on my "growing" problem greatfully received.
