The town is Montrose, and the Bronze is a tribute to Bamse, a Norwegian ships Captains dog, who performed acts of heroism like saving drowning men.
He was considered a hero, and thus the statue in his honour.
The end of the road is the start of the fun

No I think the head gear is either a sailors hat, or his own tin hat, for real he even had his own!

i dont remember the exact location
swis austria border apparantly the fountain came on 6 hours a day so i didnt hang about

again no confusion im the big guy in the centre :laugh:
