Crossing Kendoon Loch, Knowehead, just above the Galloway National park, a shortcut between the A713 and the B729.
Galloway National park is a brilliant area for wild camping.

Hi Shidosan if that is the Same Bridge i Remember Passing a Few Years ago, There is a Trout/Salmon Fishery in the River/Lake .Fantastic bit of Scotland i Loved going through there every year to Edinburgh Via as Many Back Roads as i could Find.Francis

Hi Francis.... yep your spot on....we spent a day and a half to get from there to the ferry at Ardrossan .... just couldn't resist keep turning off our route and into the unknown.... as you know

well, looking at that lot I could also pack my hair straighteners, the gel nail kit and the lippy, cool sorted

Indeed, and cool in the warmer climes. If it fits on the bike and the bike still handles well, then you can never have too much. The opposite is also true. You can always have too little. Too little can make for a miserable trip.

I thought it was only girls that packed everything but the kitchen sink

My instructor used to use a fluffy seat cover and he swore by it. I think my first trip is going to be trial and error, but hey, i'm sure everyones was.
