Re: Post us your Dogging Pics
Another two newbie rescue greyhounds for us. Meet Ricky and Edie. Both long-stay kennel dogs who were 'difficult to home', we've taken them as we've many years experience with greyhounds - the best dogs in the World? (opinion) The fastest? (fact).
Why folk would want to pay breeders - many of them dodgy - ££££££'s for dogs when there are thousands deserving the chance of a home in the numerous rescue centres throughout the country and the World is beyond me.

Agree entirely, but I've always had to adopt privately, as places like RSPCA won't let us as we work and our garden is not considerd secure (opens onto the Yorksire Dales fells)Mosel Bikes wrote: ↑Sat Jun 23, 2018 8:12 am ...............Why folk would want to pay breeders - many of them dodgy - ££££££'s for dogs when there are thousands deserving the chance of a home in the numerous rescue centres throughout the country and the World is beyond me.................
My first dog was a rescue cocker that had been blinded by a violent owner(when I was a kid) .. she lived till about 12 years, Also had an unwanted Lab/great dane cross who made 16 years even with heart trouble. My current better halve had a rescue alsation/collie cross who also lived till 16. Our curent dog is a standard snauzer who we obtained as uncontrollable and was originally bought for breeding. got her at 18months old. she has gone through cancer at 9 years (unfortunately now back),as well as many of the old age issues, but at nearly 15, she is happy, still able to stroll the fells (a bit slow now). We must be doing something right surley
