Took a run up to Northampton this afternoon, to CooperB Motorcycles, to see good mate @NathanM talk about his bike travels around the world. Which he did brilliantly. Anyone who successfully rides a Aussie Postal Bike (110cc, 45mph top speed) back to the UK from Sydney, and then across the USA from NY to Alaska has earned my attention and a 200 mile round trip!.

But, was also lucky enough to be invited to have a ride around on the 2019 CB500x, by John Mitchenson of Rally Raid, before they start bolting their upgrades to it.
Had a great few miles bimbling round Northants. While it still feels similar to my 2017, there are still differences. The bigger (19") front wheel is noticeable, but still feels familiar for someone with an older version of the X.

I went to Flix last night to experience the carnival celebrating the start of lent. A large number were dressed in red with face masks similar to the Illuminati except these were carrying guns. The towns PA system was used to send out a political message about the imprisoned Catalan independence leaders, followed by a dance lead by 4 inflatable dinosaurs and two aliens. Then a street parade with everyone in costume dancing to disco classics like highway to hell, before returning to the church square for a street rave. The carnival started just b fore midnight and I'm sure some are still staggering home as I write this. I love catalunya, and those of you who come to Spain should really try and experience a fiesta away from the coastal resorts.
