Icy wind and snow cancelled any ideas of biking so a few friends and I had a pub lunch then a walk: 14th century St Mary's, near Saxton, North Yorkshire

Out for a ride on my X Country this afternoon
Drifts got a lot deeper a bit further on - so I decided that discretion is the better part etc. & turned back.
The orange bit in the background on the road was a livestock truck they were digging out of the snow.

Jolly good idea Elle - the snow storms in Britain are even in the news on the telly here in Spain.Elle wrote:Icy wind and snow cancelled any ideas of biking so a few friends and I had a pub lunch then a walk: 14th century St Mary's, near Saxton, North Yorkshire
Sadly, there's no real equivalent of a pub lunch here though - so tapas will have to do
Cheers
Simon
