I don't remember there being any sign when I crossed Tropic of Cancer in Algeria back in 1989. But it's a beautiful area, near Tamanrasset and Assakrem, up in the remote Hoggar mountains. It was the main north/south central route across the Sahara back then but very difficult to get to nowadays.

Went out for a brief blat this morning after a really sh1tty week.
Decided that dirt was the order of the day, seeing as it was mainly dry . . .
