I remembered your build thread on here ;) .
It looks like the gear lever is facing forward on yours rather than backwards on the standard cb500x ..... does that mean the gears are 1up+4down?

No - the linkage is above the pedal up to the gearbox so it doesn't matter which way the lever faces.

…ah, that’s why I couldn’t work out what it was. Looks good 8-) …what’s it like to ride…a lighter/pokier CBX or a faster/plusher CRF?

Both of those things, it's 40kg lighter than and CB500 and has double the HP and torque of a CRF but only 6kg heavier.
It's a lot of fun to ride
