How come I can see it and you can't?

Why can't you just cut and paste a photo from anywhere like you can a piece of text?

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Stop whinging you useless old git, everyone else has figured out how to post photos, some of them even the right way up.

Oh and European or African ?

It depends on the coconut, Nick. I'm sure we've been here before. Keep getting this deja vu over and over again...

OK, try again. What a ballache it all is. It's 2020 for god's sake. Why isn't it simpler than this to cut and paste a photo into a post? Anyway, let's see if this works:

Terrible. Poorly lit, reckless disgregard for thirds or the golden spiral, badly composed, part of the subject chopped off in the second photo, to say nothing of the blown highlights. :D

But at least you can see them this time. Hooray!

I'll try to channel some Ansel Adams next time out, while I'm standing in a cold stream in December.

First time out on the roadster for ages and rather enjoyed it :D .

Still getting to grips with it as I haven't had a decent road bike for over 20 years though I think my inner hooligan is still lurking
When did brakes get this good ? and this is a 'budget' / beginners bike

Quite a while back, actually Nick. Like the legendary 1998/99 (R1/R6 blue-spots) etc etc. You've just got too used to all those rubbish spongy dirt-bike brakes !

Image

But it's still worth remembering that even the very best braking superbikes (S1000RR, Ducati V4 etc), which just about manage to brake from 60mph to zero in less than 120 feet, are ALL outbraked by every proper sports car on the road (e.g. Porsche 911 in 99 feet). Nothing can ever replace rubber surface area and big fat discs...

Yep dirtbike brakes are obviosly fairly weedy in comparison for good reason. I think my last sporty roadbike was an early FZR 600 and it had simple single opposed piston calipers...seemed good enough back in the day but things move on.

I gave the ER6 a big handful at 180 km/h ( I know it's not big or clever  ) this avo and it brought me back down to 80 kmh in what seemed like a very short distance... though of course if there had been anything else more solid there than an empty road it wouldn't have been good enough.. :?
