3 countries today. Started out in Belgium, then into Luxembourg and through Luxembourg City, then into Germany and on to Trier on the Mosel river. Another great day, couldn’t help taking the track down through some forest - because it’d be rude not to.

Re: A photo you took, today
Here: OK, at top dead centre you can see my blue circle at Hostal Casa Matte -
Ricardo Matte Pérez 320
Providencia, Santiago
- which is great place to stay for a few days. There are about five of us here now who are separately heading south to Ushuaia. We met here.
If you look down from the hostal you find Ave Italia running top to bottom. From the Hostal, go down Italia five or six blocks and it starts to get really cool.
On one of the cross streets, to your left, you’ll see a covered market for burgers, music, clothes etc and two of the bikes are on show there. Just behind that market you’ll find the Enfield place.
Let me know how you get on.

Graham,
That's brilliant, thank you. I was last in Santiago twenty years ago but know where Providencia is. I'm heading down to Ushuaia as well, but we're picking up bikes in Coyhaique on our way south. Unfortunately I don't have long this time (I was in the South America for ten months in total in 1998 and 1999) and I'm really only staying overnight in Santiago this time as the flight connections no longer allow for getting down South on the day of arrival. If i get the chance I'll check this out though or let my mate who lives out there no about it for next time he's in the capital.
Regards,
Patrick
