Been away for a while but I'm back. The Funduro has been off the road since June but aside from a carb needing some attention she is nearly done.

Those strategicaly preserved tiny patches of woodlands give a clue to how the whole Beacons would look if it hadn't suffered hundreds of years of wholescale deforestation by the Landowners/Farmers, it can look beautifull on the right day, but it is in reality a relative wasteland

Always wondered about them (patches ) .. military use? forestry experiments?
Sheep !! .. that's what the landscape is all about. . has caused human devastation from clearances nationally and possibly globally. But forest clearance started in the stone age. It is rumoured that some Neanderthals still exist up the military ranges ;)
