Just came across this on Youtube. Blimey. I really didn't know that there were MTB races like this. I had to freeze the vid after 20 mins just to catch my own breath sat at the PC.....

I wouldn't ride that fast downhill on a fully-prepped crosser, let alone a pedal bike. Incredible fitness, stamina, technique and skills.

Well worth watching all 40 minutes of it.

Amazing isn't it? Completely different challenges up at the glacier, then gravel/rock in the middle and dirt single-track later on.

The suspension on those bikes must be quite something too.

Can't get near that skill level and I'm an old git now! But riding down the side of a mountain in the Alps years ago was the best high I've ever had, motorbike doesn't come close!
